Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who participated.

Fifty 10 minute comedy play submissions were received and our reading team had the difficult task of selecting the finalists out of so many humorous scripts. We were delighted to showcase the work of the following playwrights (listed in alphabetical order) at the 1st  Annual Stage Reading Competition on April 11, 2026 where the audience determined the ultimate winner by voting on their favorite play - not knowing who wrote it until the winner was announced!  Congratulations to Judy, who the audience selected as their winner!

Les Abromovitz - Three Dogs, One Cell Phone, No Poop Bags

Greg Cholmondeley - Crazy Old Man

Judy Marilyn Goldstein - Couples Counseling - (1rst Place Winner!)

                  Marj O'Neill-Butler - Finding Help

                  Samara Siskind - Missed Disconnections

If you were not selected this time, keep a look out for more MJ Theatre Production competitions in the near future.
